Kitsch in a soulless strip mall world...

Texture adds dimension to life. I drove past Chattanooga in March, decided I didn't need to visit. Then a friend told me "Chattanooga has done urbanism right, they didn't try too hard, they kept it authentic and raw".

It's true. The simplicity of places like Bohemia and other street/alley facing pubs. The clean, reuse of textured materials. The artist composition and form of the design, infused with nature - vines, shrubs, planters, seating areas. It's interesting and charming.
